Blood Pressure

BLOOD PRESSURE .I am a blood pressure practitioner which means I can help people who suffer with high blood pressure that has no known cause. In 90% of cases there is no medical cause. If blood pressure is over 140/90 mmHg it is classed as high and is treated with medication by a GP.

It is estimate by the World Health organisation that high blood pressure causes 20% of all deaths in women and 24% in men worldwide. It causes 62% of all strokes and 49% of coronary heart disease.                                                                           And something that is frightening is that in 50% of cases, the person is unaware that their blood pressure is high. In cases where there is high blood pressure with no medical cause it is called Primary Hypertension.                                                                                                                                       It is our subconscious mind that reacts to our environment and perceives a threat, this  causes a stress reaction and keeps our blood pressure high. It is very often unknown to the patient that this is happening to them, they will not feel that they are stressed.

The blood pressure programme works on 8 different X factors that can affect blood pressure and 4 aggravators. In cases of Hypertension, medication is prescribed and the patient will have to take it for the rest of their lives to keep their blood pressure at an acceptable limit.

The X factors we examine and treat can be any of the 8 that we identify as contributing factors. They are

  • Anger Responsibility     Impatience     Conflict     Guilt     Identification     Environment     Fear of Death

There are 4 Aggravators that can have an impact too and they will be looked at

  • Salt Alcohol    Exercise    Weight

As I said earlier in the blog, there are 50% of sufferers who don’t even know they have it.So get your blood pressure checked today and call me please.
